hi to all-please take your time when you can and read this post. this is directed not to you the new owners. it is meant for the leadership body and any/all other concerned veteran owners. I strongly suggest that some of the old procedures and philosophy be resurrected. in the not too recent past. we had some really good and effective new owner policies and structured ideas. that included new ownership mentor ship and no trading in the 1st season. this helps the new people both get indoctrinated into a complex league. and also build a foundation to competing for the long haul.
in my opinion this is the way to keep and hold the integrity of this league. I would hate to see new people come in. be thrust into the league and be left to their own devices. as to whether or not they have the acumen for it. also a major concern for me is the trading. why should that be an issue? well the history and data supports that new people come in. and they get raped in deals. because they are not fully engaged and have not learned all the concepts needed to make deals.
so please consider this and at least put some form of it into action. I think going the easy and less resistant route of just letting things be. is not good for the long term health of this league. it is short sighted and again lacks the integrity. to having a full formed and FAIR level of competition. I also am not going to stand for or respond to any negativity. what I bring you in this post is out of my love and dedication. to this league and that has been my intention all the 10 years or whatever it is I have been here. think bigger that who or what you thing about the messenger. think about the message and it's importance.
thank you for your time, Dave D(the Mets)
