It seems I've ruffled some feathers by making FA bids. I couldn't find anything on any boards saying FA was closed. I looked at my current payroll and saw I was under the under the floor and since baseball is back I was making moves to get my payroll up. I'm not trying to cheat the league or the system. I'm merely trying to stay in the league minimums. It would be helpful if commission or board of directors would make an official announcement on when we can start. If I'm too far out of line then maybe I need to leave.

You're fine. The pandemic has disrupted everything. We suspended all activity when MLB suspended activity, which meant no FA bidding, or roster moves. Not sure why that message did not get out to everyone, but no FA bids were made after Cano, so we may have assumed everyone got the message. Your Cano bid was invalidated because you did not claim him on ProBoards within the allowable time as per league rules, nor did you post an add/drop on Proboards as per league rules, something that also should have been communicated to you. The pandemic has caused a lot of upheaval, and normal procedures were missed. We will keep you informed when everything gets up to speed again.

Thanks, but I'm a little confused. I understand now that I didn't make the claim for Cano on the Free Agency board, but I did a drop/add on roster moves. And Cano is listed on my roster on the spreadsheet. So do I have to drop him or do I get to keep him. I'm still learning the ropes here.

I will also offer my apologies. I just now saw the Messages tab and saw the message posted.
