I have previously suggested a new rule involving non Yahoo player universe prospects. I respectfully request the board review and consider it once more. I call it the "Jarad Kelenic rule". Jarad Kelenic is a top prospect who was in the NY Mets minor league system. but not yet in the Yahoo player universe. he was dealt to the Mariners and thus lost by the Cobra Mets. even though I knew of him and wanted to add him to my prospect protect list. so through no fault of my own. I lost a top prospect.
I do not believe this to be fair. as there are many additives and bookkeeping aspects that exist in this league. so an option and the bookkeeping that corresponds with it. should be given to name/ list players not in the Yahoo universe to your protect list. I have a few examples already this year that are high grade prospects not in Yahoo. if the sorry ass Mets MLB organazation decides to deal them. I am shit out of luck again. not right! we all here all of us owners should not be at the mercy of our parent MLB organizations.
this is Fantasy Baseball and a structured salary cap league where players rights are crucial. please consider this change and idea. I do not believe it is that difficult of a change to incorporate here. you could cap it to 1 or 2 such examples per cobra team. if you believe the bookkeeping of it will be a pain. thank you all for your time and consideration.

Rule is uncessary. Keep the players on your na list or risk them getting traded.
I've lost prospects this way too. It happens.

No this is when a player is not yet in yahoo database. Kelenic had yet to be in the database. And I of course knew of him and wanted to protect him. But he was traded. We could and should be able to protect somehow players like this. Who through no fault of put own are lost. A separate short list one or two players per team per year is all that’s required not much bookkeeping etc. there are already players all of us owners could be keeping that are not in the database. That are then at risk of being traded by parent franchise.

I'm pretty sure we got rid of that rule? That is any player can be on the list, in yahoo or not. I'd have to dig.

I think I have a player on my Friars list who is not in the Yahoo database and have had such players when I was the Cleveland GM.
